Big shows were canceled due to veteran's contract signing with WWE, revealed by the Vice President of the big wrestling company
Jack Kilby, the Executive Vice President of Great North Wrestling, recently confirmed that Carlito has signed a contract with WWE. Let me tell you, Carlito has been appearing in big events from time to time for the past few years.
Carlito returned at Backlash 2023, helping Bad Bunny in his match against Damian Priest. In an interview with Cafe de Rene, Jack Kilby revealed that Carlito was booked for a GNW show but it had to be canceled after Carlito signed a contract with WWE. Jack Kilby said-
"After the tremendous response Carlito received from the fans at Backlash, many independent wrestling companies wanted to work with him. We had made preparations to make him a part of the show going to be held on September 15, but unfortunately he signed a contract with WWE. He was going to be a part of a high-profile match at the event.
Carlito said that he would like to work for Great North Wrestling in the future. Carlito also said that it would be a breach of contract if he didn't withdraw from the show, everyone understands that very well. There is no ill feeling in his heart for them. They had given us enough notice.
