Contenders Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis are set to headline the UFC’s Nov. 28 event. The event does not have any certainly with location or venue at this time.
This was initially reported by ESPN, that Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis are expected to meet on Nov. 28 event. Blaydes and Lewis have never fought one another, however, this would be their first fight in MMA career.
Blaydes faced Alexander Volkov on June 20, 2020, at UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Volkov. He won the fight via unanimous decision. After his victory, Lewis called for a fight against Blaydes. His wish was granted.
Blaydes has wrestled 17 matches with 14 wins and 2 losses. As of September 9, 2019, he is #3 in the UFC heavyweight rankings.
Lewis faced Aleksei Oleinik on August 8, 2020, at UFC Fight Night 174. He won the bout via TKO after dropping Oleinik then finishing him off with punches on the ground. Lewis also set the record for most knockouts by a heavyweight in UFC history.
