Drew Gulak Gets Released From WWE
Daniel Bryan pinned Drew Gulak to win the First Round Of IC Tournament at SmackDown. The former one-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion has a very long history of being a superstar in WWE. There is no affirmation or any official announcement that Drew Gulak has been released from WWE but an announcement from Pro Wrestling Sheet that tells the release of Drew Gulak.
Drew has been the part of WWE since 2016, Gulak appeared on the September 14 episode of NXT, losing to Hideo Itami. On the September 26 episode of Raw, Gulak made his main roster debut, teaming with Lince Dorado in a losing effort to Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann.
In December, it was confirmed that Gulak had signed with WWE. On the January 2, 2017, episode of Raw, Gulak won his first match on the main roster against Cedric Alexander.
Drew Gulak has spent his most time aspiring to be Cruiserweight Champion. Gulak pinned Tozawa to win the Cruiserweight Championship for the first time.
We also saw Daniel Bryan giving him one last goodbye as he defeated him on May 15, 2020, at the episode of SmackDown.
Daniel later took to his twitter to say that "Big thank you to @DrewGulak for the match last night. We agreed to throw no strikes but still go after each other with everything we have. My grappling game has gotten much stronger for training with him. #ThankYouGulak Now back to training?"
Drew made a response that somehow clears that he has parted the way with WWE.
