This Saturday's UFC 251 card in Abu Dhabi unfortunately took a blow. The original main event was supposed to be Usman against Gilbert Burns for the Undisputed UFC Welterweight Title, but unfortunately late Friday night, we found out that Gilbert Burns was withdrawing from the fight card as he tweeted early Saturday morning that he wasn't feeling well.
Later, the UFC brought out something we would have never expected of it happening. Masvidal (35-13 MMA, 12-6 UFC), who agreed to challenge Usman (16-1 MMA, 11-0 UFC) for the welterweight title on six days’ notice. As a result, the UFC officially announced the championship bout, which airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+/UFC Fight Pass from Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
As noted Jorge Masvidal will have to pass one more test following weigh-ins that will take place this Friday just the one day before the fight Island.
