NXT TakeOver XXX Predictions Aug. 22, 2020: Preview, Match Card, Spoilers, Location
The 30th installment of the black-and-gold has been clinched for this year on August 22, 2020, at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. The monumental night of the event was incipiently scheduled to take place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, but due to COVID-19, WWE had to be off with the original plans.

As such, the event was moved to NXT's home base of Full Sail University along with a name switch. Now, it will be processed as NXT Takeover: XXX, instead of NXT Takeover: Boston. Due to the pandemic, WWE had to major upon its programming from WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida since mid-March with no fans in attendance.

As far as the storyline concern, So, this Year's NXT Takeover: XXX will include a Ladder Match consisting of five contenders in it. On the July 22 episode of NXT, NXT and North American Champion Keith Lee relinquished the title to create more opportunities for deserving Superstars.

A series of triple threat matches was then set up on NXT as qualifiers for a five-man ladder match to be held at TakeOver XXX to crown a new North American Champion. Bronson Reed was the first to advance, defeating Roderick Strong and Johnny Gargano to qualify for the match.

Five-man Ladder Match [For The Vacant NA Championship]

Bronson Reed Vs. Damian Priest Vs. Cameron Grimes Vs. Johnny Gargano Vs. Vevleten Dream

Bronson Reed was the first to advance, defeating Roderick Strong and Johnny Gargano to qualify for the match. As part of Triple-Threat Matches, Finn Bálor, Dexter Lumis, or Timothy Thatcher collided to be the second qualifier for the ladder match which Dexter Lumis won by landing the final submission on Timothy Thatcher. But During the week's NXT episode [August 5, 2020], William Regal appeared through Zoom TV.

Mauro sent us to a message from NXT General Manager William Regal. He put over the action in the NXT North American Title Ladder Match qualifiers. Regal said Dexter Lumis will not be medically cleared due to his ankle injury and Johnny Gargano and Finn Balor are also complaining about how they weren't pinned before.

He announced that the four Superstars who weren't pinned in the earlier qualifiers, will compete in singles matches in two weeks. The winners of those two matches will earn the final two spots at Takeover. Damian Priest defeated Oney Lorcan vs. Ridge Hollan to possess the second place in the row. Johnny Gargano defeated Ridge Holland in a Second Chance Qualifying match. Velveteen Dream defeated Finn Balor to become the final spot for Ladder match


NXT Women's Title Match

Io Shirai Vs. Dakota Kai

Dakota Kai officially earned that superiority by defeating former NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, albeit with some assistance from Mercedes Martinez.

So, At NXT Takeover: XXX Io Shirai will officially put her title on the line against Dakota Kai. Things to be noted that WWE is teasing for a potential presence of Raquel González.

Rumors are also being circulated that Raquel González will appear during the match, apparently causing a defeat for Dakota Kai. This is where Raquel González will break the feud with Dakota Kai.


Singles Match

Adam Cole Vs. Pat McAfee

Finally, It's happening as we thought of a possible happening.

As we earlier claimed that WWE is planning for a big trend taking Adam Cole Vs. Pat McAfee. Now, Triple has come out to lay down a huge challenge for Pat at NXT Takeover: XXX.

Triple took to his twitter and announced that he will be appearing on morning's ESPN GET UP to address the last night's incident.

While, appearing on ESPN GET UP, Triple H did not pass on a little time to lay down a challenge to Pat for a match against Adam Cole at NXT Takeover: XXX. Adam Cole also appeared with a tweet calling out Pat McAfee for a match at NXT Takeover. Now, they will officially be colliding at NXT Takeover.

Earlier it was announced that Pat McAfee rolling into NXT tonight to address confrontation with Adam Cole.

The former NXT Champion Adam Cole. As we know Cole dropped out of the interview after being pushed for most of the conversation by McAfee. The things turned into a hot exchange when Pat stated to him “kind of small.”

This prompted Cole to climb at McAfee, another person from the studio tried to opacify the circumstances, but Adam Cole Indeed shoved him saying "don't touch me", and then he walked out of there. Adam Cole issued an apology to anyone who has offended, Adam Cole said, "I'm embarrassed by my reaction, and I will make sure something like that never happens again,"

As we know, Pat McAfee earlier confirmed that he broke the conversation with Adam Cole, and now, They have calmed considerably ahead of tonight's main event.

During the NXT episode[August 5, 2020] things went wild as Pat McAfee appeared with some unprofessional move on Adam Cole.

But who knows this was the silence before something big could happen at the show. During the Tag-Team Championship match between Undisputed Era Vs. Imperium, Adam Cole ran into an angry conversation with Pat. However, Adam Cole steeped back from there. Adam Cole once again turned around and took the bottle in order to throw the water on Pat. Shawn Michales and Triple H came out to resist both of them.

Pat said, no matter what he will always be a tiny, little, itty-bitty b---h for the rest of his life. Cole got furious and wanting to fight Pat. Triple H and Shawn saved them. McAfee ran up with a big punt kick to the face on the announce table. Triple H shoved out McAfee and ordered to got out of the arena. McAfee out of the arena as he yelled about how unprofessional this place is.

Pat McAfee took to his twitter and wrote the following statement, "How much was I supposed to take from this beta who is a MANIAC? Blows up on my show, breaks shit, pushes Ty. Then..I take time out of MY HONEYMOON, so we can hug it out. Then he LOSES HIS MIND AGAIN.. assaults me w/ a bottle & I’M THE 1 THAT GETS KICKED OUT? How’s that fair?"

Need to note that, In March 2018, McAfee was present at an NXT show in Indianapolis, where he prevented Adam Cole from winning by DQ in his match against Aleister Black. Instead, McAfee's distraction was enough time for Black to recover and hit Cole with his finisher, Black Mass.

NXT Title Match

Keith Lee Vs. karrion Kross

Keith Lee Vs. Karrion Kross for NXT Championship Match was officially Announced For NXT Takeover XXX this Wednesday on NXT episode.

On Wednesday's NXT episode Karrion Kross defeated Danny Burch, The victory celebration was cut off short as Keith Lee entered walked down into the ring with a contract. Keith Lee took the mic and said, He pleaded to William Regal that fix his match against Karrion Kross so that he could get his hands on him.

Keith Lee had the contract which he put on the apron. Scarlett stepped up to take the contract. However, when Lee put pen to paper to make the match official, he was blindsided by a fireball attack plotted by Kross and Scarlett. Though no serious damage was reported, does the incendiary incident hurt Lee’s chances to retain the title?

Keith Lee went forward to take this up, The contract threw the fire on Keith Lee's face as he opened up the contract. Keith Lee continued to demand for Karrion Kross, "Give me Karrion Kross," Keith Lee said.

Triple Threat Tag Team #1 Contender's Match

Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch vs. Breezango's Tyler Breeze and Fandango vs. Legado del Fantasma's Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza

WWE has announced a Triple Threat Tag Team #1 Contender's Match for WWE NXT 'Takeover: XXX' Pre-Show.

This was initially announced by NXT General Manager William Regal that Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch vs. Breezango's Tyler Breeze and Fandango vs. Legado del Fantasma's Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza will happen in a Triple Threat Tag-Team #1 Contender's Match, whoever, advance, will be eligible to get a title shot against the NXT Tag Team Champions Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner of Imperium.

Finn Bálor Vs. Timothy Thatcher

Finn Bálor vs. Timothy Thatcher will up for NXT TakeOver XXX coming up this Starday. As ordered by NXT General Manager William Regal, Finn Bálor will take on Thatcher at NXT TakeOver XXX in what figures to be a heated bout after Thatcher cost The Prince a chance to become North American Champion, WWE announced this.

Last night Finn Bálor went one-on-one with Velveteen Dream in a Second Chance qualifying match which he lost due to the savage interaction from Timothy Thatcher attacking him with a big boot. Velveteen took the advantage to pin Finn for the win.

The Prince had been laser-focused in recent weeks on seizing the one accolade missing from his NXT resume: the North American Title.
