After Randy Orton attacked WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at the beginning of the show, Lee arrived on Monday Night Raw by interrupting Randy Orton during a promo and then challenged him to a one-on-one match.

The match was finally made official, but the end of the match Drew McIntyre ran out and attacked Randy Orton when Orton slowed Lee down with some ground moves and set up for the RKO. The Viper Orton attacked McIntyre again delivered him with his third punt of the night because of McIntyre to be taken to a hospital.

At the end, WWE officially announced a match between Randy Orton and Keith Lee on Sunday, Aug 30, 2020, at WWE Payback 2020
