UFC Fight Night Whittaker Vs. Till Results July 25, 2020: Full Results, Winners, Highlights
A middleweight bout between former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker (also The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes welterweight winner) and former UFC Welterweight Championship challenger Darren Till has been slated to serve as the event headliner.
UFC on ESPN 14 fighter weigh-ins, kick-off at 9 a.m. ET (6 a.m. PT). Robert Whittaker and Darren Till had their first meeting ahead of their match, that drops tomorrow on ESPN and streams on ESPN+.
Middleweights Bout
Robert Whittaker vs. Darren Till
Round 1st: The main event of the night was on the line between Robert Whittaker vs. Darren Till. The first round opened breaking no risk at the beginning. Nice right hand from Till and took Robert Whittaker down. Right hand from Till, heady kick from Till followed by back to back big shots. Both with the hold near to the fence. Knee strick to the body, Both still in the clinch, snapping kick to the head from Till. Nice right hand from Robert Whittaker, snap kick from Robert Whittaker as the round ended.
Round 2nd: Both went for high-five making the open. Robert Whittaker with the nice left hand, low kicks from Till, Robert Whittaker with big right hand taking Till down. We see Robert Whittaker continued to up the takedown landing shots to the chin, big elbow from Robert Whittaker to dazzle Till. No way out for Till. Soon, Till was able to get out of the takedown, but made his a little slowdown. Bighead kick from Till as the round number 2 ended here.
Round 3rd: Round number 3 was on the line, Nice uppercut from Till. Robert Whittaker tested the elbow, but blocked by Till. Robert Whittaker firing back, but did not completely touching to any body parts. A good knee from Robert Whittaker, Uppercut from Till, Nice shot to the head from Robert. Low kick from Robert, 1 minute left for the third round end, Snap head kick form Till, Robert Whittaker went for the strick but could not make it as Till stepped away. The round number 3 ended.
Round 4th: Round number 4 was on the line, Nice left hand from Robert Whittaker. We see low kick from Till, Big elbow from Till followed by one more elbow attack. Nice knee strick from Robert Whittaker, good right hand from Till. The round fourth ended with high-level risk.
Round 5th: The final round of the final fight was on the line, Till opened up with a good start. Till looked for the high kick, but could touch the right part, Low kick from Robert Whittaker. Nice one-two punch to the chin. Robert Whittaker with a look to take Till down, but Till was able to defend it. Low kick from Robert Whittaker. Head movement from Robert. Robert Whittaker was bleeding, good strick from Robert Whittaker taking Till down, Till with good attempt to get up, once again Robert Whittaker get him in the clinch as the round ended.
Winner : Robert Whittaker, victory followed by Unanimous Decision(48-47 x 3)
light Heavyweights Bout
Mauricio Rua vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira
We tended to go for Mauricio Rua vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
Round 1st: The first round was on the line, as they both prepared at the official order. No big risk as the beginning, Low kick from Rua, Rua with some shots driving Antonio Rogerio Nogueira into the fence with the hold as well. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira with a knee to the thigh, they split up, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira with a big right hand, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira with another big right hand, Rua with defense, both with back to back strick, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira with big right hand taking Rua back to the fence, but nice work done by Rua as he soon took him down.
Round 2nd: The second round was on the line, nice left hand from Rua as the opening of the round, low kick from Rua. Good shots to the head of Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, but nice head movement from Antonio. Nice kick to the body, Rua with some good shots, meanwhile, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira took him down with one nice shot to the head. Nice body shots to Rua as Antonio Rogerio Nogueira was upholding him. Rua came to his feet. Rua looked for the takedown, but Antonio Rogerio Nogueira was able to getaway. Nice big right hand from Rua followed by a low kick. Back to back a great deal from Antonio Rogerio Nogueira with shots to the head. The round second got ended.
Round 3rd: Thrid and the final round of the fight was on the line, Powerfull shot from Rua followed by a low kick. Nice shot from Antonio Rogerio Nogueira followed by a punch to the head. Rua was trying to land something impactful and he got this time as landed big right hand followed by a left hand. Once again with nice big hand leaving no chance for Antonio Rogerio Nogueira to stagger, Rua finally made the takedown, landing punches to the head winning the fight.
The first round of the fight proved to be effective for Antonio Rogerio Nogueira but in the next two rounds, Rua with nice shots to win the fight.

heavyweights Bout
Alexander Gustafsson vs. Fabricio Werdum
Round 1st: The first round was on the line as they both prepared for the fight with the official introduction. Alexander with low kick opening the fight. Nice footwork from both the fighters, good low kick from Fabricio Werdum, good work as Alexander took Fabricio Werdum down, soon Fabricio Werdum turned the takedown making it for own. Fabricio Werdum with the submission move leaving no way out for Alexander to get up and finally Alexander tapped out making the fight official win with Fabricio Werdum
Alexander could be taking the hold over Fabricio Werdumas the way he fought off turning the takedown in his own, but finally, there was a great submission letting Alexander tap out.
Winner : Fabricio Werdum, victory followed by Submission due to an Arm Bar at 2:30 in Round 1
women's strawweights Bout
Marina Rodriguez vs. Carla Esparza
Round 1st: The first round was on the line as Carla Esparza wasted no time to take Marina Rodriguez down on the ground, Carla Esparza was trying to take her up with the hit from the top of the elbow. Marina Rodriguez tried her full, but she continued. Now, Marina Rodriguez turned the hold by instead taking Carla under her. Nice work from Carla as they split up. Once again there was a nice takedown from Carla. They split up as the first round got ended.
Round 2nd: The second round was on the line, as they both prepared to be back in the fight. No risk for a while, Knee stick from Carla, Low kick from Marina Rodriguez, but Carla blocked it. Carla with the try to hold Marina Rodriguez's leg for the takedown and there was finally a nice takedown, she was looking for the triangle, nice job from Marina Rodriguez as she pushed Carla for a while, but got right caught up in the hold. Carla top of her chest. Good job, but got up again as Marina Rodriguez was halfway up to be on her feet. Good work from Marina Rodriguez as she turned Carla down and unloaded back to back punches on her eye. They both back up to the feet, Marina Rodriguez continued to unloaded knee strick as the round got ended.
Round 3rd: The third and the final round was on the line. No risk at the beaning, Carla was completely damaged from her eye. Carla with a nice takedown and landed some good shots, Marina Rodriguez fired back driving her hands-on Carla. They were free from the hold, soon Carla once again with the takedown, this time it became hard for Marina Rodriguez to get up at instant movement. Carla with good shots, she needed to have more takedowns with good hits, as Marina Rodriguez was still in the lead. Nice footwork from Marina Rodriguez as she was able to be on her feet. Carla did a great job once again taking Marina Rodriguez down as the fight got finished with the round.
There were some nice takedowns from Carla that lead her to the victory over Marina Rodriguez.
