WWE News | WWE Hall Of Famer Rocky Johnson Passes Away At Age 75
Johnson began his career as a professional wrestler in 1964, in Southern Ontario, soon after his debut, he lawfully changed his name to his "Rocky Johnson" moniker. In 1969 he wrestled for the World Wide Wrestling Federation. However, Johnson found his highest levels of success when he began his WWE tenure in 1983.
The Hall of Famer former World Tag Team Champion began his wrestling carer in 1983 where he feuded with Don Muraco, Greg Valentine, Mike Sharpe, Buddy Rose, and Adrian Adonis. The success came to his path when He was paired with Tony Atlas as a tag team and defeated the Wild Samoans (Afa and Sika) for the Tag Team Championship on November 15, 1983, they became the first black tag team to hold the tag title in WWE history.
On February 25, 2008, Johnson received his credit of success when was announced as an inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame by The Rock.
He retired in 1991 and immediately he prepared his son The Rock for wresting. The Rock is now one of the biggest stars in the history of sports-entertainment and that's how he is leading his father's ideology into the right direction.
