WWE has come into the terms to release their back to back 19 superstars from WWE as it was earlier posted by WWE. First, we saw the release of Drake Maverick (James Curtin), Curt Hawkins (Brian Myers), Karl Anderson (Chad Allegra), EC3 (Michael Hutter) and Lio Rush (Lionel Green) and then it came out to be Kurt Angle, Luke Gallows (Drew Hankinson), Heath Slater (Heath Miller), Eric Young (Jeremy Fritz), and Aiden English. Later, we saw the shocking announcement including Rusev, Rowan (Joseph Ruud), Sarah Logan (Sarah Rowe), No Way Jose (Levis Valenzuela), Mike Chioda, Mike Kanellis (Mike Bennett), Maria Kanellis, and Zack Ryder.

Rusev was supposed to take place earlier including and that was from Rusev who was pleading for his release from WWE. However, meanwhile, he appeared on WWE whereby Rusev teamed with Humberto Carillo in a loss to Lashley and Angel Garza on the February 17 episode of Raw. This would end up being Rusev's final match in WWE.

This capped off a WWF rookie year which is considered by many to be the greatest in history. Among other accomplishments in the WWF/E, Angle has held the WWF/WWE Championship four times, the WCW Championship once, and the World Heavyweight Championship once. He is the tenth Triple Crown Champion and the fifth Grand Slam Champion (achieving this accolade twice under both the original and current format) in WWE history. On March 31, 2017, Angle was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Drake Maverick who appears on 205 Live, where he had served as the brand's General Manager from January 2018–April 2020. Curtin signed with WWE in October 2017 but had to postpone his debut until his U.S. work visa was renewed. On 30 January 2018, Curtin debuted under the name Drake Maverick and was appointed the new General Manager of 205 Live.

On 1 July episode of Raw, Maverick attacked R-Truth with a suitcase and pinned him in the backstage area, while the latter was fleeing from a mob of wrestlers to become a two-time 24/7 Champion.

On April 12, 2020, Maverick was announced as a participant in the Interim Cruiserweight Title tournament representing Group A but now he has pulled out of the match.

The former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush is also leaving the company who also performs on the NXT and 205 Live brands. Rush made his first televised appearance on the October 4 episode of NXT, where he was attacked by Velveteen Dream.

Rush made his return to NXT on the September 18 episode as a face and defeated Oney Lorcan to become the No. 1 Contender for Drew Gulak's Cruiserweight Championship.

Rush successfully captured the title on October 9 episode of NXT. On the December 11 episode of NXT, Rush lost his title to Angel Garza, ending his reign at 63 days.

Sarah Logan also suffered an elbow injury caused by Shayna Baszler on Last week's Raw episode. Now, she has also come into the terms to leave WWE.
