Diwali is on 24th October this year. Accordingly, Govardhan Puja should be held on October 25, but this time there is a solar eclipse between Diwali and Govardhan Puja. In such a situation, Govardhan Puja will not be held on October 25, the next day of Diwali, this year due to solar eclipse. Govardhan Puja is on 26 October due to solar eclipse.

Govardhan Puja is on 26th October this year. The Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month is starting on October 25 at 4:18 pm. This date will end on October 26 at 2:42 pm. On this day, the auspicious time of worship will be from 6.29 am to 8.43 am.

Govardhan Puja Method

On the day of Govardhan Puja, wake up early in the morning and take bath. Then in the auspicious time, make the shape of Giriraj Govardhan mountain with cow dung and also make the shape of livestock i.e. cow, calf etc. After this, duly worship with incense-lamp etc. After bathing Lord Krishna with milk, worship him. After this, offer annakoot.
